Makeup with contact lenses?

Hi all,

I want to wear contact lenses as I am fed up with the glass I wear 24/7 due to a almost blind lazy eye.

Is it okay for me to wear contact lenses with eyliner/kohl pencil?

Yes just make sure you put your lenses in before you put the eyeliner on. I made the mistake of putting eyeliner on before the lenses and i accidently got eyeliner on one on the lenses and had to throw it away! :S

haha yeah sure it is, contact lenses bond with pupil in your eye they wont effect your eyeliner in anyway.

Yeah definitely! I've just recently got contact lenses and asked my optician about this and she said it's no problem. I'd suggest also to put your eyeliner on after you've put your contact lenses in    :)

Yes, I have been wearing contacts and eyeliner for 20 years now with no problems.

No problem at all. In fact it is easier to use eye make up with contact lenses as you can actually SEE what you are doing when you put it on!

As someone already said, just make sure it is very clean, replace your make up regularly to avoid eye infections.

yeh itd be fine! but to be better off do your make up then put your lenses in then use eyeliner n mascara etc(dusnt ruin or smudge the eyeliner n mascara)

I love contacts!! =D

Just dont put the eyeliner on your waterline, because its a membrane and it will go bumpy after constant wear. and then it may get infected and you will have to stop wearing them.

yes i've been wearing contacts for almost a year now and i do wear khol pencil or cake eyeliner... liquid eyeliner may be an issue but don't worry because it is totally fine TRUST ME

eh just don't poke ur eye and when it comes time to take them out make sure you take your contacts out first then remove your makeup

Yes, as long as you are careful not to get the make up on the contact lenses, as they can harbor bacteria and cause an eye infection.

Yep, I do this. When I first got my contact lenses I had to change my brand of mascara as the one I used to use irritated them. But once I'd found one that worked better for me, everything's been fine since. I've worn lenses for about 12 years.

of course you can wear contacts and make up. (:

make sure to put in the contacts first, to prevent smudging of make up.
