Ntini has been an exceptional performer for South Africa. He took 390 wickets in his Test career becoming the second highest wicket-taker in Test cricket for his country. The South African record for highest number of wickets belongs to Shaun Pollock.

Ntini was cheered by the crowd throughout the match. Although he was not able to impact the match with his performance, but the crowd enjoyed every ball he bowled in his spell.

last ball.”
Not only did Ntini have respect for the fans and CSA, he also had a great deal of respect and love for his teammates with whom he enjoyed many victories. He said while pointing at his teammates, “My boys, I always salute you.”
Ntini was also respected by his teammates and he always used to have a smile on his face. Not only his teammates, but his opponents also had a lot of respect for him and valued his fierce competition.
Indian legend, Sachin Tendulkar praised Ntini for his contribution to the sport. He said, “He was a fierce competitor and a true champion because you knew that at the end of the day Makhaya would still be running in hard and trying to get you out.”
