I want to make small little devices, I have been starting to get into electronics so if any one could give me a clue on where to start that would be great.

Devices that will work for everyday life (NO SUPER HIGHTECH) but at least small and simple electronic that will actually be useful.

10 points for the best one.

  1. What sort of device did you have in mind? There are literally thousands of little electronic gadgets you can make if you have a knowledge of electronics and the right parts.

If you don't have a lot of electronic expertise, you can purchase kits from places like d**k Smith (in Australia) or Radio Shack (in the US) that give you all the bits and detailed instructions. You still need to know how to solder but that's about it.

Here are some suggestions for gadgets you can make...

    - FM micro transmitter that can be used as an intercom or bug (just tune it to an unused FM radio frequency and tune your FM radio into the same frequency)

    - Electronic timer (can switch on/off other devices after a certain time period or can work as a stopwatch)

    - IR or RF remote controls and receivers that you can use to control just about any device you like from a distance

As I said, pretty much anything you like. If you want to see a comprehensive list, check these sites:

    http://www.jaycar.com.au

    http://search.dse.com.au/search?sessioni...

Those are both Australian sites but you'd be able to find similar kits in your country.

    Hope this helps.
