Question:

Making International calls using Skype?

So I registered and added a few dollars to my account to make a phone call overseas.

When I got to making the actual call, I noticed on the left hand side of the interface there is a pull down menu for the country codes and then there is a space to dial the number. All I did was choose the country code and dial the number. Is this correct? The reason I am asking is because I reached some kind of automated voice mail. Perhaps there is something I am leaving out?

I would appreciate it if someone can run me through how to make these calls, so I know if I am making a mistake.

Thanks.

  1. No, your doing it right... like if you are calling someone in the USA you will pick that code... and then just put in the number and then call them... it should work the first time... but then you have to by credits for calling cell phones and lan lines.

But if your calling some one else that has Skype you should not have to pick a code OR put in a number...
