  1. Half and half works great to, it makes it creamy.

  2. just go to the store. seriously i think it would all cost about $5.

  3. Yes, water will work....will be bland, but will work.   I have also added sour cream to the water in an emergency.

  4. maybe try a vegan recipe

1/2 cup nutritional yeast (I used Red Star brand flakes)

        1/2 cup flour

        2 cups water

        1 tablespoon mustard

        1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

        1/2 teaspoon onion powder

        yellow food coloring(optional)

    Directions:

Noodles: Boil water, cook noodles for 10 minutes, drain.

Sauce: Mix the yeast and flour together in a pot, add half the water, heat it up and whisk it when it starts to boil.  Add the rest of the water, whisk until there are no lumps.  Turn off the heat and stir in the mustard, garlic salt, onion powder and yellow food coloring.  Pour over noodles and enjoy=)

This recipe is for 1lb (16oz) box of noodles.

    Serves: 1

  5. You can also just increase the butter/margarine needed and add a bit of water if it's too dry.

"Best by" just means that it'll be better to use it before that date, so it will be fine. It's the expiration dates you have to watch out for.

  6. i never used the milk, just put a little extra butter in there.

  7. I use canned milk for Mac and Cheese! And ALWAYS keep it on-hand!

  8. I usually just use extra butter instead of milk. Not the most nutritional thing but tastes great and gets the cheese sauce the right consistency.

  9. Do you have powdered milk?  If so add that.

  10. you can substitute canned evaporated milk

  11. use box of kraft mac and cheese you don't need milk
