Question:

Making Out Danger?

About 3 months ago, I made out twice [kissing only] with an individual of unknown HIV or STD status.

Since that time, I have grown increasingly concerned I could have contracted a disease from this activity.

Other than herpes, is there any chance of acquiring HIV or other STD from making out?

  1. well now days they seem to be something new out there thats none cureable, aids herpies, gosh ,im scared to even go out with a new girl, and after all the uses of a rubber, they say that it has many little spores in it, and is not sure proof, what happened to the good old days when you could do all the good things that would make her happy, wow, id never  do oral s*x on a strange  new girl, , really can we take a chanch because the new partner says they are free of junk and has been tested for aids, after they have  been tested, they go out and have unprotectee s*x pick up some thig, pass it to you but they were tested not to long ago, you tell me ..ok

  2. Believe it or not, the old Syphilis specialists counted kissing as "sexual contact". The reason is that if you kiss someone with the lesions of secondary syphilis in their mouth, you can contract the disease without intercourse. Not a common scenario.

Lesson: know the person you are kissing- know the person you are having intercourse with very well indeed.

  3. Herpes is the most common make-out-transferred disease.

I would say your chances of getting HIV from a heavy kissing session are very, very, very slim.

However, if you're really concerned, call your local office of Planned Parenthood - they'll do a broad-spectrum STD test for free.  Just look them up in the phone book, or look up "free clinic," as they'll do the same thing.
