Making Small Eyes Appear Bigger

Question

What are some tricks to maximize my eye size? When I smile, it's almost like they disappear completely!

People always tell me that up close I have these gorgeous green eyes, but it never seems to translate well into pictures and instead they just look tiny and beady.

Don't put eyeliner in the internal bottom part of your eye because it makes your eyes look small + it is really bad for your eyes. Put a light colored eye shadow on your lids and heaps of mascara on the top lashes and maybe a little bit on the bottom lashes if it looks good. Seeing as you have pretty green eyes, use a blue, green or violet eye liner and put on the outer part of your eye, especially on the outer sides. If you can do it without looking like a cat, then extend your eyeliner a bit to make your eyes look bigger. The best thing i think you can do is get yourself a good palette of colored eyeshadow and a good mascara and EXPERIMENT! And make your eyes be the focus point of your face, by not wearing lots of bronzer or blush, and using a plain-ish lip color. Good luck and email me if you need any more tips

hmm well if u can invest in a good white liner and put that at the bottom iner corner of your eyes .DONT USE BLACK you know how people say that black always makes people seen thinner..well that goes the same with eyes.black liner makes ur eyes look smaller....you should steer clear of that....you should use bright shimmer or sparkly eyeshadow on ur lid that way ur eyes look more open.

when you smile you probably look straight into the camera which is what you're supposed to do. but try bringing your chin down to make it like looking up.

I'm not sure that i'm too descriptive, but as far as make up there are so many different tricks here are the ones i find effective.

+Line the inner membrane with white liner and then a darker or the liner you normally use on the outer. in pictures it'll make your eye whites look bigger. (I learned this from Tyra Show)

+ Also when you're applying your shadow you want 3 different shades use the darkest one on the outer corners of your eyes.

Put on some eyeliner on your top lids ONLY. Start near the middle of the lid, with more on the outer edge. Put mascara on your top lashes, then curl your eyelashes. Finally, take some whitish or gold eyeliner and put a TINY bit in the corners of your eyes. Don't go overboard! This is what I do and it makes my eyes look huge and bright.

a little bit of eyeliner on the bottom will deffinentally help. also, try wearing blues, they really make blue and green eyes pop!

try thin eyeliner to the outside of your eyelids and then a little bit of shimmery gold to the inner corners of your eyelid (near the tearducts)

my friend has asian heritage with kind of squinty eyes.... when she does her make up like this her eyes just seem to pop :]

put on your eyeliner about half way to the corner of your eye, this really makes your eyes "pop"

To make your green eyes pop, and look bigger,

Wear reddish toned eyeshadows such as reddish brown, gold or bronze. It doesn't have to be dark, just have some red in it.

Brown eyeliner on top lid only

White eyeliner on waterline (Rimmel Soft Kohl in Pure White)

Black or brown mascara.

I had this problem.You should try buying some Define-A-Line Eyeliner in either gray or black, and Volume Express Mascara. You can purchase both of these items from Wal-Mart. Then, put on some gray, green, purple, or brown eyeshadow on your eyelids. It looks GREAT!!
