  1. practice. if you dont have a volleyball already you should go out and buy one, i like wilson.

If you play backrow start giving yourself spots to hit on the floor (10 or 20 ft away) until you can nail them with precision.

If you play front row you should still know how to pass, but should also work out your arms and legs.  You need to be able to jump high and hit the ball hard!

another thing i like to do is try to set the ball into a basketball hoop.  Instead of just setting it straight up back to yourself, try and make baskets.  It will help you judge how hard you have to set for distances.

    GOOD LUCK!

  2. build some muscle, that will help your serve...practice mostly work really hard....

  3. make friends with other people from the team and play ALL the time, as much as possible. you only get better with experience and playing with people that already are experts (or near experts) will lead to a lot of helpful advice. also, being friends with people on the team will help you get in good with the coaches during tryouts next year.

  4. work out no problem in hitting the gym

  5. See if there are any colleges/universities offering volleyball camps. These volleyball camps are usually the best, and you can learn and condition with college volleyball players.

  6. try playing club or select volleyball. it improves your skills, coaches love that your willing to improve, you get better, and you make alot of friends from other schools.

  7. Well, I'm VERY glad you asked.

I train with my sister. (We're twins.) She's on the volleyball team as well. Also, we play on multiple teams. If you have lots of cash, try attending a conditioning camp, where they train you as well as scrimmage, etc.

Besides, if you're a decent volleyball player, why worry?

  8. If you want to improve your game play at every chance you get. A few years ago i started playing in an Adult co-ed comp. league and it's been great. You can learn a lot from people who are older than you. Also try watching higher levels of volleyball. College or university is a good one to watch. You can pick up a lot of things from watching good players play. Another thing would be trying out for a club team. The experience would be great. Working out and such would definatly be a great thing for you. good luck!!<3 :D

  9. Just have fun w/ it keep practicing like organize a game of boys vs. girls so you could practice and show off some skills and meet someone special!!! Just get creative w/ it and keep practicing in your spare time and make friends w/ girls who  are better than you and are willing to teach you to get better.

  10. u should try out for a club in your area there are many you just have to find the one that best fits you ability level. Try out for more than one so if you don't make it you don't get down on yourself

  11. If it's not until next year then you should defiantly look for a club in your area to play on for the time being.  There's no better practice then playing organized volleyball.  Also if there is any beach organizations or even just random tournaments then look into it.
