Making a cake, 30grams short of sour cream..

what can i do, i have no other cream in the press....will adding milk do? or is my cake destined to be ruined?

its my first time baking :)

  1. It depends. If 30g is half the quantity needed in the recipe, it probably will matter. However, 30g is a tenth of the total, I'd mix 20g milk with 10g molten butter and add a few drops of lemon juice. That should work as a substitute.


  2. maybe your boyfriend could squirt his cream in it

    if not milk should be fine but just to wet it abit but dont put 30 grams in lol. 30 grams isnt much, it probably wouldnt matter if you didnt add anything else.

  4. yogurt (especially Greek yogurt) would work well .... You could try some softened cream cheese, mixed with a little milk or, blend cottage or ricotta cheese until it's smooth and creamy

  5. put yogurt!
