Making a cloth diaper?

I wanted t know if you can make an all in one diaper just by adding a layer of PUL into the diaper. I want there to be pretty flannel on the outside. can i just cut the pattern and do soak-er sewn to the layer that touches her body then flannel then PUL then flannel sew in elastic then turn it inside out so that it looks finished and add my Velcro? will it be to leeky?

  1. I don't quiet understand what you mean. From the way I read it you want to have the PUL sandwiched between the flannels, and that should work. It shouldn't be leaky that way. If you meant sewing the PUL on the back of the soaker, then yes there's a good chance your diaper will be leaky. You can also find pattern PUL, but it's not cheap by any means. I make my own pocket cloth diapers, and am waiting for the PUL I ordered to come in the mail....darn snail mail! I'm also trying to get a home business of making CD going.
