Making a come-back?

Question

I swam competitively from the ages of 11-17 and was pretty good. I'm now 20, and thinking of making a come-back, just wondering if anyone knows anyone who has made a succesful come-back. Is it possible?

Personally, I never knew a swimmer who made a successful comeback in international or professional swimming competition.  I would suggest that you join the US Masters Swimmers Organization.  

These are composed of swimmers above the age of 19; they have competitions over the US.  I am providing you their website for you to check the details and join one near your place.
