While expressing his feelings to Pakpassion in an interview, Taufeeq revealed that he was under immense pressure while making his comeback against a strong team like South Africa. He said that it was easier starting an international career rather than returning
to the highest stage of the game after a while.
The left-hander said, “There was a lot of pressure on me in November 2010 when I made my comeback to international cricket. I believe it’s really tough when you are making your return to international cricket, in fact I think you feel more pressure when
you are making a comeback than you do when you are making your international debut.”
Taufeeq is also the leading run scorer for Pakistan in 2011 and feels that it is a great achievement for him, and wants to carry the same momentum in the upcoming encounters.
“I’m really satisfied with the way things have gone for me since my comeback and it was really pleasing to be Pakistan’s top scorer in Tests last year. I’m really proud of this achievement”, said Taufeeq.
Pakistan plays http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749 in a Test match in Dubai on January 17th, 2012. It is his next chance to shine for Pakistan.
