Making a peace pipe.?

Ok im making one just for show and something to do. But can i just go find a good sturdy stick off a tree? Or do i need a certain type? And the bowl what call could I make it from?

  1. NEED WOOD FOR STEM WITH SOFT CENTER .USE A RAFTER BIT TO CORE CENTER.BOWL MAKE OUT OF CLAY AND THEN FIRE BLAZE  DONE

  3. You may want to look up your local woodworker shop to ask what they would suggest. You might be surprised at what they can suggest. They will likely have the wood you need or can tell you how to get it.

    Also, apparently many traditional peace pipes were made out of a stone known as pipestone or catlinite. If I were you, I'd stick with the white ash. They make baseball bats out of it, I know that. Good luck finding it. It may be difficult, but finding authenticate catlinite seems much harder from what I've read.
