Making a scrapbook?

Question

It's my Mums birthday in a few weeks and for it I had the idea of getting lots of photos from when she was wee, getting married right through to family photos today.

I was going to just get a nice photo album but I thought maybe a scrapbook would be even nicer as a lot of work would have to go into it.

I live in the Scotland so first things first, I need the name of a reputable and reasonably priced shop or website to get the supplies from, preferably like some sort of kit with everything I need in it!

And also names of any websites that could help me as, in the past I've done some cardmaking but Scrapbooking is totally new to me!

I'm not sure of any stores or websites, but we gave my sister one of these for her graduation and we had all her friends and family dedicate a page of it to her. That would probably special. Hope it helps!

Hi!I'm not Scottish and I dont know of any shops but I can give you my ideas:

1.Take a nice album or more prefereably a beautiful note book

2.Gather the photos that you want to put there and glue them to the pages

3.Write some comments on each page/next to each picture

4.You can decorate the pages by drawing something on them

5.At the end of the notebook put a recent picture of you or you and your family and sign the scrapbook

Those were just a few and I hope you can find what you need!!  There were well over 10 pages to search through, just enter scrapbooking supplies uk in your yahoo search engine...it should bring everything up!

If you can make cards - you can scrapbook.

You have some excellent advise from your previous answers =

however I must add:

Please, please, - if you are going to put one of a kind irreplaceable photos is your Mother's scrapbook make sure it is acid and lignin free paper - and adhesive.

after all your work - you want it to last forever.

Also, if you are adding any other things besides photos - there is a spray to neutralize the acid in paper products - like newspaper clippings, cards, letters, tickets, awards, diplomas, cerificates etc.

I can not think of a better gift for your Mother = I am sure she will treasure it always.

my friend one day made a remarakable moment with his scrap book u know how it was  it was abunch of a4 sheets and on top it said i hope u would have lot more to give if u need one more i would give u a chart.  it should how much he loves himself and how close he was with others
