  1. Mix the garlic with the butter (make it smooth) and then use that to spread on the bread. You can put the "garlic butter" in the fridge to harden it. After that's done, put it in the toaster and you have garlic bread made from scratch.

  2. put a couple cloves of garlic and the butter in a blender and get it nice and mixed up, then you can spread it on the bread and add some grated cheese, and a little oregano and onion powder and bang you're done.

  3. Preheat your oven to about 300 degrees.

Cut your french bread lengthwise into two long pieces.

Spread the butter liberally on to the bread.

Using a garlic press, or a cheese grater if you dont have a garlic press, grind your garlic into very fine pieces and sprinkle on top of the buttered bread.

(next time if you dont have fresh garlic you can use garlic powder. I like to also use basil and oregano, with a small dash of salt and pepper)

After you season the buttered bread, put the two long pieces onto a cookie sheet and put them in tho oven till tops of the bread turn golden.

    Enjoy!

  4. Try this website. It has lots of great recipes.

  5. Finely chop the garlic first.  Put a stick of butter in the microwave to melt it and put the chopped garlic in the butter and mix.  If it is unsalted butter then add salt.  Smear it all over the baguette and top with fresh ground pepper.  YOu can even sprinkle some freshly grated parmiggiano reggiano over it.  Then you put it in the oven, I usually just broil it because it's faster but you have to keep your eye on it because it can burn easily!  Otherwise put the oven on like 400 and maybe 10 min., I don't ever time it though, I just keep checking it.  Good luck

  6. crush the garlic mix it with butter spread it on the bread and toast under the grill

  7. I have seen it done two ways:

1- Melt the butter and add the minced garlic.  Slice the baguette, but do not cut all the way through.  You can then spoon the butter/garlic mixture into each slice and toast it in the oven for a few minutes.

2- Put the cold butter on pieces of sliced baguette and top with minced garlic.  Toast.

I think the first way works better.

  8. NO, just brush some melted butter onto the bread sectoins that you have cut, take a glove of garlic and rub the inside on top of the butter, then sprinkle a little basil and olive oil,...stick it in the oven and broil for 5-6 min. YUMYUM

  9. Cut the bread in half and spread butter on both sides.

Bake at 350 for about 8-10 minutes

Once out of oven, have 3-4 peeled garlic cloves ready and scrape them on the toasted bread.

Top with parm cheese if you want or add some chopped tomato with basil.

    Cut into serving pieces.

    EDIT:

Who's the thumbs down troll.  All of the users have posted great recipe answers and don't warant the thumbs down.

  10. hiah, dead easy and lush. just toast the bread a little bit either side then rub the garlic onto one side (squish it first by taking a clove, peeling the skin off so it looks white and shiny, and hitting it with something like a rolling pin, or use a garlic crusher) rub quite alot on including some lumpy bits. then smear a little butter and add a bit of salt. Toast again (on a heat proof plate this time) and just a bit a mop up any niceness and pour back on top.

no need to make butter, enjoy

  11. cut and then put garlic into garlic press. I use an entire head of garlic for a baguette.  Fluff the butter, add the garlic, salt, and Italian seasonings. Spread all over the bread, Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

  12. i would mince up the garlic really small - or use a food chopper, that will make it smallest.. a paste would be good, but you have to mx the garlic with salt to do that and salty garlic bread is no good... so, spread the bread with butter, toast lightly, then, sprinkle garlic all over and rub in - then toast a bit more - make sure you dont burn the garlic!!! you dont even want it to get brown... also, you can add mozzarella cheese, dried basil, oregano or parsley to the top if you want... if you have some olive oil, spread that over the bread before the butter too.. it will make a great flavor difference, or, after the whole thing is done toasting, you can drizzle it lightly over the top....

  13. 1.Cut open the bread into the slices(like texas toast).

2.Put the bread slices on aluminum foil on a pan.

3.Spread butter over the slices of bread.

4.Either cut up the garlic, dice it, or use a slicer to make very thin garlic slices.

5.Sprinkle on the garlic and then put the pan into the oven at 350 for 5 minutes or until they are done.

  14. Raw garlic can be a little harsh. I would roast the garlic cloves in the oven with a little olive oil at 350 until they get soft (careful not to burn it though). Then mash the garlic with butter, spread over your bread and bake at 400 until golden brown. You can also sprinkle a little parmesean on top and bake.

  15. I'm sorry to laugh but this really is like basic lol.

If you are that worried about it then go to www.footv.com or something where they will have videos.

But is really is easy as 1 2 3.

  16. melt butter then get use a garlic crusher to crush your garlic. if you dont have a crusher, cut it really fine. then mix it up and add some garlic powder if you have it..

then take your mixture which should be pasty. then spread it on the slices and bake it for a few minutes until its a little brown:)

    hope i helped:)

  17. Garlic Bread Supreme

    2 tablespoons mayonnaise

    3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

    Garlic Bread

1/2 cup nonfat Italian salad dressing

    1/2 teaspoon paprika

    4 cloves garlic -- peeled

1 french bread loaf -- sliced

    1/4 cup parsley -- chopped

Preheat broiler. Place dressing, paprika, and garlic cloves in a blender and process until well blended.

Spread mixture on one side of bread slices and sprinkle with parsley. Broil slices until they are lightly golden, being careful not to allow bread to burn.

  18. 1st- Cut the baguette in half.

2nd- Spread butter on both sides.

    3rd- put garlic powder on

4th- sprinkle a little bit of cheese on it

finally put it in the oven until golden brown then eat!

  19. Slice bread in half, lengthwise.

Melt butter in a saute pan with sliced garlic over gentle heat.

Toast bread under broiler in oven.

Dip bread, cut side down into butter.

    Slice

  20. Slice the baguette and then lightly toast it in the oven.  Then slice a piece of garlic and rub the toast with the raw garlic (just a few rubs).

Or, dice up the garlic very small and mix with the butter.   Then spread the garlic butter on the sliced baguette and put under the broiler for a few minutes until golden..

  21. grate a clove of garlic with the smallest side of the grater, mix with the butter -  about 2 tbsps,  spread on the baguette and maybe sprinkle on some dried herbs.
