  1. This is slightly soupier but serve this over ramen (no soup) noodles-- and by the way- if you live in Los Angeles area, go to Mitsuwa market and they sell the kit, or they can serve this at the restaurant-for like $8.

    INGREDIENTS

    4 ounces ground pork

    2 tablespoons dry sherry

    1 teaspoon cornstarch

1/2 tablespoon fermented black beans, rinsed and mashed

1/2 tablespoon chili paste with garlic

    1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

    2 tablespoons soy sauce

    3 cloves garlic, crushed

    1/2 teaspoon minced fresh ginger

    1/2 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon cornstarch, mixed with equal parts water

    DIRECTIONS

In a small bowl, combine ground pork, sherry and 1 teaspoon cornstarch; set aside.

In a separate small bowl, combine black beans, chile paste, cayenne pepper, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger; set aside.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. If pork is lean, add 1 tablespoon oil. Cook pork until evenly browned. Stir in black bean mixture. Pour in chicken broth, and bring to a boil. Stir in dissolved cornstarch, and cook until thickened

    Make a Ramen frittata

    Cook Time: 10 minutes

    Ingredients:

2 (3 oz.) pkgs. chicken flavored ramen noodles

    6 eggs

    1 Tbsp. butter

    1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

    Preparation:

Place noodles in a saucepan filled with boiling water. Cook noodles until tender and drain. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and 1 of the seasoning packets from the noodles. Discard remaining seasoning packet. Add cooked, drained noodles to egg mixture.

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the egg/noodle mixture and cook over medium-low heat until firm, 5 to 7 minutes, drawing the cooked mixture to the center to allow uncooked portion to flow onto bottom of pan. Cut frittata into four wedges, and turn over to brown the other side for 1 to 2 minutes. Sprinkle cheese over the top, cover pan, and let stand 1-2 minutes to melt cheese

    Ramen Noodle Salad

2 packages Beef Ramen Noodles, uncooked

1 lb package cole slaw mix

    1 5oz package slivered almonds

    6 green onions chopped

    Dressing

    1/2 cup sugar

    1 cup vegetable oil

    6 tablespoons rice vinegar

    1 teaspoon salt

Shake the dressing together in a shaker. Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Dress salad and let sit for at least 2 hours in the fridge. Yum.

  2. Chinese veggies make a ramen great.  I use bok choy and Napa cabbage, long bean, edamame, snow peas and straw or shitake mushrooms.  For a nice touch, whip up an egg or just egg white and stir in at the very end.

  3. Skillet Beef 'n noodles

2 packages (3oz each) ramen beef flavor

    1lb ground beef

    1/2 C chopped onion

    1 can (11 1/8 oz tomato soup)

    1/2 soup can water

    1 ts worcestershire sauce

    1 ts prepared mustard

    generous dash pepper

    grated parmesan cheese for garnish

    1. Cook ramen noodles according to package directions. Add seasoning packets, drain off most of liquid. set aside.

2 Meanwhile, in 10" skillet over med-high heat, cook beef & onion until beef is browned & onion is tender. Stirring to separate meat. Spoon off fat.

3 stir in tomato soup, water, worcestershire, mustard, & pepper. Stir in reserved noodles. Heat through, stirring occasionally. Garnish w/basil, oregano, tomato & parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve w/additional parmesan cheese, if desired.

  4. If you have a can of chicken broth that would be a great soup base for the ramen.  I would boil the ramen in water and removed it when cooked.  In a separate pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.  Add the fresh leek, green pepper, and onion, and the noodle.  Season with spice that you like and you're set.

  5. ramen recipes; wow... very good question....

the leek, pepper and onion would be great diced or minced real small - with nothing else at all and some salt and/or pepper would set the flavors all off well too

    for dinner though?

have you thought of turning it into stirfry?

    while the noodles boil

sautee some veggies <frozen broccolis/snow peas/babycorn and baby carrots mix work nice... french cut green beans and mushrooms or whatever actually kind you like>

and meat of your choice <cut up to cook fast>

with some butter<just a little> some olive oil <any really will do just personal choice> the leek, pepper and onion will add nice flavor... do you have any hot peppers <<u said before you like spicy>

boullion works for a spice choice or whichever ones you prefer

-- I like to do lemon pepper with the chicken or if just using veggies or curry  and I like to mix red pepper and black pepper along with garlic/ginger or worchester sauce with garlic and a little bit of soy

or you could just add a bit of the seasoning packet

when it is cooked thru drain the noodles add, mix and done

you could pretty much do anything with them -- and those seasoning packets you wanted

I have used the packets with bread crumbs, flour and milk as the batter for chicken

and the noodles either served with butter or mixed in with veggies

drain off the water and add only a fraction of the seasoning and have just seasoned noodles...

could be made into any soup at all you want... add veggies, meats if you want and add noodles last <-- if you do not want to add any boullion you do not have to; celery, carrots, parsnips, onion garlic salt/pepper.... longer you simmer the stronger the flavor.. I make soup weekly with that and add fresh spinach or my mother adds any of her lettuces <before they go bad> and they three minutes before you want to serve it? add the ramon noodles

while I was typing a thought occured... online recipes

this link is to "the Official Ramon homepage" <-- do not know if they are affiliated or not but they have over 400 recipes 21 of them for soups... there are meat, quick/easy, budget, salads etc.

    much luck

    hope this is of assistance

    have a great night!!

  6. Easy and yummy!  I cook mine sans the packet. Drain the noodles and drop in a little milk or a dab of butter. The sprinkle with parmasean cheese a dash of garlic powder(if you have it), salt and pepper. Mmmmm Mmmm its the poor college students fettucinni alfredo.

If you are rich and high class... throw some leftover chicken or steamed broccoli in there too. I'm a poor college student so none of the fancy extras for me.

  7. When I make ramen I cut up strips of nori and throw it in at the last minute. It's really good in seafood flavor.
