Making heart shapes on laptops?!?!?

Question

How do I make heart shapes on laptops, not the <3 ones the black filled in ones? I've tried alt + 3 with/without numlock, it doesn't work and don't say try every key because I don't have a high amount of patience.

Push ride side alt and then right side 3 and release.

remove the + and space from this:  &amp; + hearts + :

take out the plus signs and spaces type ampersand [&amp;] hearts semicolon all together as one word  &amp; hearts ;   without the space
