Making icing and ran out of confectioner sugar what can i do?

ok i'm making my dad a caking and i'm making icing to go on top but i ran out of confectioner sugar and it's not thick enif what ingredients can i use to make it thicker. o ya it's a lemon cake.

  1. put regular sugar into a coffee grinder and grind WHALLA powdered sugar!

    works very well!


  2. lemon cake is good with just a little icing drizzled over it so if your icing is thin it will be perfect.

  3. If you have some cool whip on hand, just stir the icing in gently and ice the cake.

  4. USE SALT trust me it works everytime no one will notice the difference

  5. Cream cheese will work, if you like cream cheese icing. You can even add some lemon zest to flavor it
