Making jello alcoholic drinks for party...give me some tasty ideas pls?

thought it would be a nice(& cheap) idea for toasting as my friend walks through the door of surprise party. could be catering up to 50 people on the cheap. all your tips welcome

Mango Rum and Orange or Tangerine Jello....yummo.

I don't recall seeing Mango flavored Vodka.  The rum isn't expensive anyway.

You use one cup vodka and one cup water per box of jello.

Boil the water and jello, then add the vodka.  Pour into little paper cups and refrigerate.

Don't use lemon or orange flavors - they're not flavorful enough to cover the tast of the vodka.  Blue raspberry, cherry, strawberry, and the green jello all work well.

Get what ever flavors of jello you want, some small shot cups (local party store, use paper or plastic), Vodka,  make Jello with 1 cup water and 1 cup vodka poor into shot classes and there you go.  It is pretty cheap and makes a bunch, just get a bunch of different flavors and you are mixing so you don't need high quality vodka.

I make lots of these and I see one other poster said to use vodka and that should be the base for most of your shots.

let me lay a recipe out for you:

Apple Pucker Shots-

1 lg package of jello

2 cups of water

bring water to a boil and take off heat.

add jello and stir till dissolved.

add 1 cup vodka and 1 cup apple pucker.

i use 1 oz soft sided shot cups (like the little peanut cups they use at weddings)

this should make at least 60 shots-fill cups about 3/4 of the way full.

these should set in the fridge in 3-4 hours.

Based on that recipe, you could use watermelon jello and watermelon pucker and vodka,

peach jello peach schnapps and vodka,

black cherry with more vodka and use amaretto, but not a whole cup-maybe 1/2 cup.

There are tons of great combos.

Make jello shots with vodka, you can make alot with one big box, but since it doesnt cost that much get a couple more boxes for extras. I got one of the cheaper vodkas to mix in with the jello mix, you couldnt even notice if was cheap or a more expensive brand. I love jello shots bc they are so much fun and you can hardly taste the alcohol! Get drunk and have fun!
