Question:

Making my own projector screen?

I would like to make my own projector screen, but I do not know how to go about doing it. I CANNOT use goo or anything to paint my wall, I want to make an actual screen. I can fully control the light in my room. I have a space that is 100" wide that my projector completely fills. SO by my calculations the screen would have to be near 100" wide(no more) and about 56 inches tall. I need to know what materials to use, where to get them, and how to put it together. Thanks!

  1. A piece of white cloth or a white wall.

  2. You can find material here:

    and on Ebay

You'll need to build a frame for it which can be wood.

However, I think you'll find it better and less expensive to buy a 106" diagonal 16:9 pull-down screen (and it's not much smaller than your 114" area)

Just found a 110" fixed screen for $350 shipped
