Making renewable energy sources stronger?

Is it possible that in the future, renewable energy source as solar, wind, geothermal, etc., can be made into a major energy source (at least 20% of the total energy make-up)?

If we decide, collectively, that its important enough, and we, collectively, decide to change our lifestyles, then, yes. We most definetly can make that happen. After all, we managed to change the world in the just the last century with combustion engines. We switched from gas lighting to electric. And so on. The rate of progress and improvements in technology are happening faster and faster. Consider that were virtually no technological advances during the Dark Ages, about 600 years. Now changes happen from decade to decade.

I almost positive that they will.  The enery that is used now- are unsustainable and unrenewable. Once coal, gas, etc are gone, we will need to find alternative sources. Hopefully we would have learned that we need to find renewable energy sources so that we don't run into the same problem of the energy running out.

To many people think that we need massive projects to make a change its not true.

Think of it this way to save at least 20% less electricity around the home TODAY if you changed your lighting to CFLs and turned everything off standby - pretty simple.

Do a few other things around the home save another 30% without spending to much. After you have done that you have reduced your power bills by half and paid for your original investments

Its not in the future its now!

The only time that this will happen is when the OIL CAPITALISTS in the USA will go BUST. And you and I as well as every informed person in the world know that this will not happened within this century!
