Making stuff?

Hi, this is really a Q for those crafty people out there...

do you make stuff? Like bags, clothes teddys etc?

Does anyone have any tips on making teddys??

Or knitting? I want to make things !!

i love to sew. i make clothes and purses and pillows and such. its really easy to make,you can make a purse out of a jeans or a tank top.

Have you thought about quilting.  Check out appliquequiltdesigns.com.  It gives you instructions on quilting and reviews of quilting books, that can help you find the quilting book you might like.

I love to crochet.  You can start with small projects and progress to larger more difficult projects as you learn.  

I love the interactive CD called Crochet Made Easy that you can purchase at Joann Fabrics for $6.99 and be sure to print off the coupon online for 40% off.  This CD will teach you how to crochet.  Than, head to Walmart and purchase some inexpensive worsted weight yarn such as Red Heart or Caron Simply Soft and a size J crochet hook.  Good basic size and these items are less expensive at WalMart.  Get yourself two skeins of yarn in lighter colors (yellow, pink, orange,greens, blues, tans, just not the dark shades).  Dark colors are harder to see where to put the hook in at (dark like navy, maroon, brown, black).

As you learn a few basic stitches, there are also instructions for projects on this CD and you can make stuff to give to your family and friends for their birthdays and Christmas or just because.

I love making stuff.  I make jewellery - such an addictive hobby.  I also love cross-stitching, quilting, scrapbooking, cardmaking.  My cupboard is full of projects to do, just need the time!  Arrg!
