  1. don't change yourself and if you have friends from last year stick with them as much as you can

  2. Freshman year isn't all that bad to be honest. If anything, it's one of the best.

Do's: Make sure you do well in all of your classes... You'll regret it later on if you don't, trust me on this one. Stick to a crowd that you like and don't bring trouble everywhere they go. You can usually tell who will bring trouble about the first week of school. Be friendly to everyone, you'll meet a lot of people and in high school knowing a lot of people can really pay off. Remember, the friends who can stick it out with you the first year will more than likely be there until you graduate.

Don'ts: NEVER cut school! It can become addictive and when all your friends are graduating and your still making up credits, you'll really wish you never even tried it. Don't pretend to be someone you're not. If you're not into rock, then don't say you are, because eventually it will come out that you lied and you will not be liked by a few people because of that. Do not think you are better than anyone... Ever.

Those are the main tips I have for you. Don't stress it though. High school is not as bad as a lot of people think. Scary at first, yes, but once you get use to the new environment, you'll see it's not bad at all! Best of luck tomorrow!!

  3. This is an absolute DON'T-NEVER EVER act like you're the boss on campus. Don't be arrogant, it ticks the upperclassmen off. Also, don't be really loud; enthusiasm is fine and dandy, but yelling, screaming, and all that silliness is extremely annoying.

If you need help getting around the school don't be afraid to ask an upperclassmen; they'll be polite if you're polite to them.

DO-have fun! It's a great new experience; you should take the time to try new things; join some clubs you've never considered before or something.

    Good luck!

  4. its not actually that bad, ijust finished my freshman year last year ( woot! sophmore) nobody messes with you or anything(and i go to a pretty rough school) but just try to to stick out too much at first and try to keep alot of friends to back you up. lunchboxes and book bags are out of the picture, if your spotted w/ 1 youll probably be pointed out, umm cant think of anything else, good luck

  5. High school is truly a very exciting place to be. The experience itself is filled with many oppurtunities and fun stuff: There are more clubs, sports, more people, new teachers, more freedom, and most of all, the realization of growing up and moving to a whole new level of your life. You will hopefully make great new friends who you will spend your four years with and they will be remembered even after you graduate. Get involved in your school. Remember, your school is like a community: the people are its building blocks. So, don't be afraid to try new things and join different clubs. Having said that, make the most out of high school. Don't forget to attain good grades and obtain that valuable education (which you are there for)! Before you know it, you will be a senior, ready to move on to college or university.

Have fun and enjoy your four years!
