  1. -Staff cleaning rota-a list of everythign that must be done at end of session.

-Use anti-bac spray on all surfaces esp before children sit down to eat.

-Water to wash hands must be always available and kids and adults encouraged to regulary wash hands ESP after toilet and before snack!

-Toys should be cleaned regularly in a bleach based fluid-then rinsed well before kids play with them!

-Sick policy should be in place so parents and staff know when not to come in to the session -eg: 48-72 hours after sick/dia to stop germs spreading.

-Box of tissues readily available and a bin to put them in!

    -discourage nose picking!!!!

-Hands over mouth when kids cough-then wash hands!

-No sharing cups, flasks, cutlery etc.

-Staff using gloves when cleaning poo, sick, wee, nappies, wet clothes etc and the gloves put straight into bin! Nappy sacks for nappies then straight in an outside bin or nappy bin.

-Do not use same cloth to wipe up spills and clean surfaces as used for 'toilet based mess'.

I could go on and on...but try looking up National Care Standards on surestart website and that will have it in that document!
