For one of my classes i have to help someone or something (on a large scale) instead of taking a final exam. Ive googled it a couple of times but i cant find anything that needs my dire attention or i personally can help with. Most sites just ask for money. Anyone got any ideas?

  1. You could stage some kind of event to raise money for one of the charities that you like.

At the moment I believe Asian countries are paying well for our scrap metal.  Our local junior football club has offered to take away all our scrap metal for free.  Then they sell it to the scrap metal merchant and donate the money to the club.  This is helping the community get rid of waste for free, helping children and teens in the community learn values of teamwork and doing things for others, and also helping reuse metals and reducing our dependence on mining which is helping the environment.

One of my favourite charities is 'Care Australia'.  You could have a fundraiser party charge everyone $5 to attend.  Donate all the funds to your favourite charity.

or how about a 'change the world' concert.

Local bands perform for free, and donate the takings.

    Great project.  Good luck.

  2. You need to figure out what cause you want to support or what activity you would like to do.  Where are you located, it's hard to help without knowing what's available.

You could always organize a food drive, there should be a Second Harvest organization near you.  Another idea would be to do "can" art and have a contest to build things with canned food---its fun and the canned food is donated to a local food pantry.

The local Humane Society is always looking for using sheets and blankets and if you're really ambitious you could organize a pet food drive and donate all the food and sheets to the local shelter.

I hope you find something you're passionate about, otherwise you'll lose interest in the cause.

    Good luck

  3. You can raise money to help something, like a foundation, but ones that help people, like a orphanage.  So yeah.
