The economy is bad, weed is legal almost everywhere accept the U.S. Do you imagine how much money this country could make if we legalized weed and taxed that sh*t?

  1. Weed isn't legal pratically anywhere.

It's just tolerated differently. Like in Amsterdam, you can only buy 5 grams for each person, you can't advertise it, you can't sell it in drug stores, you have to be away from people when smoking, and if smoking in a biulding you have to have the owners permission, and you have to be 18 to purchase it.

The country wouldn't make a lot of money, cause they will start charging too much and people like me that grow it will still charge the regular, plus it will be tax free.

I smoke all the time, but I think it shouldn't be legalized. Yea, its an herb and grew from nature...but its best to leave it at that and just enjoy smoking now.

  2. Weed is not as bad as alcohol . However, It does not make you think clear. So my vote is No. I remember an old Dragnet episode in the early 70's 0r late 80's where a group of pot smokers were so high, that they did not know where their child was and when the police asked the mother what she remembered doing it had come to her she was getting the bath water ready, and of course when the police ran into the bathroom, well you can guess the rest. Dragnet episodes were based on actual events.

  3. The issue goes beyond money. Legalization would imply that it is acceptable bevavior. It is not, and unfortunately if it were suddenly legal again, many believe there would be an increase in it's use.

  4. The people who are in prison for weed are the bigger-time traffickers, and weed isn't all they deal in.

Weed is illegal almost everywhere, including the U.S. Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands are the only countries I can think of where possession isn't criminal.

Given the size of the black market for untaxed cigarettes and the comparatively few regular users of pot, the legalize-and-tax argument is a non-starter: the tax revenue would be negligible. Drugs are already the domain of criminals and travel through those established channels, and would continue to do so even if (especially if) a legitimized and more expensive product were available.

Gambling is legal and still there are thousands of underground poker games because the rake is less.

  5. YES LEGALIZE.......too many people in prison for weed..its ridiculous..and it is too expensive to warehouse people for such reasons

what? it affects you psychologically.......jees so does smoking cigarettes...not a good enuff reason to spend so much money

  6. It would be good, it would definately cut down on crime because weed makes people lazy.

  7. very bad.....you wouldnt want a bunch of stoners driving around would you?? no.

  8. Bad idea. Weed effects you psychologically.

  9. Eventually it will be legal.
