  1. nicola a, Glad to see another wine lover. I've only been able to find one decent resource for a listing of local wine stores. http://www.bestonlinewineshop.com Here in Vermont I've been able to find some nearby wine stores that have knowledgeable staff. Some of the wine shops can special import wines for you, often times saving you a discount on case purchases. There are a few wine shops close to my house that have bi-weekly wine tastings too, which I like because I can try differnt wines.

  2. concentrate is just as it says, its got some of its water removed... the most common place to find this in the stores is in the frozen section, they come in little containers.  Other than this, you can make your own concentrate by slowly simmering your grape juice until it looses some of its volume.

I don't see why you would need to do this, it probably speeds up fermentation by making it have a stronger sugar content, but straight grape juice should work fine.

  3. You need to know the start S.G. for this you will need a hydrometer, Boots and Wilkinson's sell them
