  1. Not long or you cook all the vitamins out of them. Be careful about feeding them to a young baby though. My daughter couldn't tolerate them until she was nearly 12 months old as they made her very gassy and caused tummy pain.

Probably just long enough to be tender.  I use canned peas and blend them to a good consistancy (a little chunky now)...I make green beans too and steam them till they're tender and blend until mostly chopped...I don't strain them and now that my girl's older she eats them just fine.  It took her a bit to get use to the texture but no need to strain...just wait :)

  3. I cook them in a small amount of water until they are tender, probably for about 5-7 minutes.  When I first tried peas, I blended them but then had to push them through a strainer to get all of the skins out.  It was a pain.  I didn't make peas again until my son was old enough for some texture.  I just bought them in the meantime.

  4. i do alot of making my own baby foods since i had my twins i never timed how long for the peas just until there soft them i mush them up

  5. We use frozen peas and I steam them in an inch or so of water for about fifteen minutes.
