The 20-year-old striker, who has a year left in his current deal, appears to leave after complaining about little first team action under Luciano Spalletti, the head coach, at Petrovsky stadium.
“I am really thinking about how to change my current club. I have got a few options at the moment. But I need to be very careful before choosing my destination because it will be a very hard decision to make. But I cannot sit on
the bench and want to play on regular basis. At my age, playing practice is necessary. And if I will receive any offer in the near future, I will move on.”
“Now my thoughts are occupied with the youth team, because we are coming two important matches.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
There is little arguing that Kanunnikov, who joined Zenit in 2009, has failed to prove himself after scoring a single goal from 23 Russian Premier League appearances during his stay at the Russian outfit.
Media reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Bukharov-c4555 respectively.
And given that Spalletti is interested in signing new players at Petrovsky, Kanunnikov might find it difficult to compete with the new arrivals. If speculations are to be believed, the Italian tactician wants to sign Napoli’s Ezequiel
Lavezzi this summer.
Kanunnikov has conceded that he has not talked with anyone regarding his desire to leave. However, he has insisted that he might be packing his bags this summer.
