Mal Meninga to be guest speaker at Rockhampton business dinner - Rugby news
While talking to reporters on Tuesday, October 18, Australian Institute of Company Directors Queensland state manager, Richard Moore, shared that Mal Meninga, the coach of Maroons, will act as the guest speaker at the Rockhampton business dinner. This is
believed to be the perfect way to wrap up the Australian Institute of Company Directors events program.
Meninga has been coaching the Queensland’s State of Origin team, Maroon, for the past six years and has navigated his side to a record six victories earlier this year, which makes his profile all the more alluring. The high profile coach, who boasts a successful
run in Queensland, will share his success stories with the attendees of the event.
His stint at Queensland has been studded with six consecutive title victories ever since he was reigned in as Maroon’s coach in 2006. People at the event will be interested in looking forward to hearing his successful switch from the legendary on field icon
to coach. His on and off field performance both have been praiseworthy.
When asked aout the event, Moore said, "This will be a fantastic opportunity for business leaders to network, reflect on their experience gained throughout the year and discuss what 2012 has in store. 2011 has seen substantial membership growth for Australian
Institute of Company Directors in the Central Queensland region due to the calibre of guest speakers and professional development opportunities provided,"
It was clarified through Moore that it is very important for the company to showcase the best of the best on such occasions and Meninga by all means fulfills the criteria perfectly.
He also stressed upon the importance of having such iconic figure as part of their grand functions because it will help the club draw in unexpected revenues.
However, where Meninga’s inclusion on the annual dinner has been announced, his case pertaining to his extension with Maroons is yet to reach a conclusion, along with his new role at the franchise.
