Malafeev has conceded that the Russian national team tried to crack the opposition defence, but failed to do it more than once. He has admitted that they failed to take all their chances in order to double their lead in the game.
The 33-year-old shot-stopper has urged his team-mates to win the upcoming final group stage match against the Greeks after putting in a below par performance against Poland.
“We are not happy after losing two points against the red and white. However, we still have a game to play and we need to concentrate.

“The atmosphere and acoustics of the stadium was good enough. We played against the hosts, and although it was difficult, we tried to play our game. In the arena was wet, swampy. This is probably due to the fact that the stadium
gets little sunshine. Otherwise, everything was fine - we went back to the hotel without any inconvenience.”

Though, Russia atop the group A, they may find it difficult to retain the spot should they fail to claim all three points against the Blue-White.
