Zenit St. Petersburg goalkeeper welcomes the former Real Madrid boss to the Russian Premier League and assured Anzhi fans of a quality appointment.
Guus Hiddink has joined Anzhi Makhachkala after weeks of negotiations with the Dagestani club president, Suleyman Kerimov. He has now replaced Yuri Krasnozhan, despite stiff competition from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello, signing
a two-year contract at Makhachkala stadium.
The ambitious Russia club signed the Dutch tactician after failing to secure the signatures of the former England national team head coach earlier this month. Reports in Russia suggest that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 FC manager will reportedly
earn 10 million Euros annually.
Comparisons have inevitably been drawn between him and Ruud Gullit, who had earlier coached Terek Grozny. However unlike his compatriot, Hiddink has an excellent winning record as a manager.
Zenit St. Petersburg goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vyacheslav-Malafeev-c36502, has welcomed the 65-year-old Dutch tactician to the Russian Premier League and assured the Anzhi fans of signing a talented European coach.
“Hiddink is really a very strong coach and a good specialist. He will give new impetus to the team. Though Anzhi have not won anything in the current championship of Russia, they will be very difficult to play against in the near
future.
"Anzhi have now become a very serious team now. With all due respect to other specialists, including Krasnozhan, Hiddink have all the capabilities to help the ambitious Russian outfit.”  The UEFA Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Though the Dagestani club have confirmed that Krasnozhan resigned by mutual consent, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-Carlos-c31317 is believed to have played a major role in the events that lead the former coach's exit.
Hiddink’s agent, Cees van Nieuwenhuizen, confirmed that the Brazilian national wanted his client to join the Russian club badly. The Brazilian national will now reunite with his former manager. The two worked together
at Real Madrid when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 was still a player.
“Carlos went to the club president and told him that the Krasnozhan is an old-fashioned coach.” Nieuwenhuizen said.
Malafeev tipped the Dutch tactician to help the Russian outfit win the league title in the near future. As things stand, Anzhi are at the seventh spot on the league table.
