Malaga CF midfielder Joaquin makes Fiorentina switch – Football news
The Spain international Joaquin has completed his move from Spanish La Liga side Malaga CF to Italian Serie A team, Fiorentina.
The player agreed terms with the Italian side and signed a three-year deal with the Florence based outfit.
Fiorentina had a brilliant season last term as they finished the season in fourth place on the standings table behind the likes of Juventus, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and AC Milan. The team was unlucky as they failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League on the last day
of the season. They accumulated 70 points in comparison to the AC Milan’s 72 points.
Joaquin claimed that he has always had a dream to play in the Italian league. The player has spent his entire career in Spain and is looking forward to play in Italy for the first time next season.

“Serie A has always attracted me. I waited a long time to play in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926; it will be a good experience. I know Borja Valero and Guiseppe Rossi, who is an extraordinary player. I'm very happy to come here. It is a philosophy which I embrace. I've reached a
good moment in my career and hope to exploit it here,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-CF-c40864 man commented on the possibility of Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez joining Fiorentina. Joaquin claimed that Gomez would be a great buy as he is a complete striker and the club will be able to fight for major honours
if it signs players like him this summer.
“He would be a great buy. He's a very strong forward,” the 31-year-old concluded.
Joaquin made a total of 57 league appearances for Malaga CF in the two years he spent at the club and scored six times in the process. The player was instrumental in guiding Malaga to the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League last season where they
lost to Borussia Dortmund.
