Malaga join the race to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 star Hulk – Primeira Liga News
Spanish La Liga side, Malaga CF, have joined the race to sign FC Porto star http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan and Anzhi Makhachkala, but nothing concrete has so far been revealed.
Selecao International, Hulk, has attracted the attention of yet another potential suitor. The striker has allegedly been on the radar of top clubs across Europe and now it seems like cash-rich Malaga have also taken a keen interest in him.
The forward was integral to the Portistas’ quadruple last season and has begun the new campaign in similar fashion. Having netted an impressive tally of five goals since the start of the term, the former Tokyo Verdy man is relishing his role at Estadio do
Dragao and looks to be the spearhead in the Portuguese outfit’s attack.
With exposure at International level, complementing his first-choice status at FC Porto, many have been tempted to break the bank for the talented attacker; however no one has yet been able to land his signature.
Russian giants, Anzhi Makhachkala were rumoured to have made an offer of €85 million for the Dragao favourite in the summer, but his employers rejected the proposal, saying that nothing less than €100 million would even be considered.
Following the events of the transfer window, many more teams have been eyeing the front-man with Inter Milan leading the pack. But given the woes of the San Siro outfit, they may not be able to splash the cash in January and that could pave the way for Malaga
CF to make their bid.
The Anchovies have been one of the highest spenders in the market following their big-money takeover by wealthy investor, Abdullah Al-Thani, who has pumped millions into the club.
Backed by their newfound financial muscle, the La Liga side have turned their attention to Hulk and will be looking to secure his services when the transfer window re-opens.
However the major set-back in potential move is FC Porto, who have so far been adamant that their star asset is not for sale. But if Malaga CF are able to match their €100 million asking price, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Costa-c9458 will have no option other than letting Hulk part
ways with the club.
