After securing UEFA Champions League qualification for the coming season, the Andalusian club have been in the news for all sorts of reasons.
Under the tautology of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-c23383 Pellegrini, Malaga have shown the ability to scale the heights they were predicted to do so the season before. The Chilean tactician has been a revelation for the Andalusians, adding much needed calm and tactical nuance they
lacked under the previous managerial incumbent.
Efforts of the former Real Madrid and Villarreal head coach ensured that UEFA Champions League football will be played at La Rosaleda for the first time in the history of the club. However, since the end of the 2011/12 season, everything has gone south for
them.
The coastal club has been in the news for all sorts of reasons, with none of them lifting the hearts of the faithful. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-c13609 Hierro left the club in turmoil, citing irreparable differences with the club’s administrators.
It has been followed with news of financial discrepancies, players filing for accrued wages, Villarreal demanding 3.5 million Euros in outstanding monies, and AFE revealing that the supposed cash-rich club is not what they make everyone believe. The players
association shared that around 35-40 percent of wages have yet to be filled.
No signs of Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani is to be found at La Rosaleda, leaving the rumour mill in full swing to churn nuances.
Experienced defender, Weligton, took out time to reflect on the subject. The 32-year-old admitted that the players in the dressing room are concerned about the club given the air of insecurity surrounding the club.
He stated that they are keeping their silence regarding what is happening at La Rosaleda and hope that a conclusion to the matter is reached soon enough.
"We are concerned about the club's future under the Sheikh," http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Weligton-c36756 said while talking to reporters.
"The squad is hardly quiet with what is happening, but we hope there will soon be a change for the better. It will be nice if the owners can continue with this project.”
"We know we have late payments pending and it'll only be a matter of time before we collect. Everything will eventually be done, if not one way then the other.”
