The Malaga winger has stated that they will fight for the second spot in the league and it will only be possible if they succeed in beating Madrid in their next match.
The latest round of La Liga fixtures has arrived and probably the pick of the bunch is Real Madrid’s visit to La Rosaleda, where the holding champions will take on a high flying Malaga side.
Both the sides have worries of their own as the season has shaped up to be less kind to the two.
Malaga were recently banned from competing in any of Europe’s UEFA competition, as they failed to cope up with the FIFA Financial requirements.
The ban has been applied and the Malaga board has gone in to turmoil following the punishment.
However, the Spanish outfit will continue their run in this year’s UEFA Champions League and have been banned to participate in next year’s events.
Real Madrid on the other hand have had a troubled season of their own, as they currently lie 3rd in La Liga’s standings.
The Madrid giants are the defending champions of the League, but this season has been a forgettable one.
Los Blancos have failed to keep up pace with league leaders http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and are 13 points behind their fierce rivals.
Also, they trail city rivals Atletico Madrid by 7 points and it looks that the balance of bragging rights is going to shift in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Calderon’s direction.
Malaga winger Joaquin has stated that the upcoming clash is very important for his team, as they will look to take all three points from the match.
The winger believed that if they can ensure victory, it will help them fight for the second place in the league.
"Yes they are stronger opponents, but we have another chance," Joaquin said.

"It's a good time (to face them) and they are not at their best. We will try to go on holiday with the joy of a good win against Real Madrid.”

"We have two straight wins at home and are playing pretty well."
Malaga are currently fourth in the Liga charts and are just 5 points behind the Madrid outfit.
