  1. They drained the Essex marshes 150 years ago.

  2. Just curious, when was the last case of malaria documented in the good old UK ?

  3. But for you what is the problem?

The gravity of the malaria in the world (for which nobody worries) or that it could touch your children?.

I don´t see that it is one of the principal worries of none of the western and richer governments of the world (and therefore with more power and influence to help to recover millions of children) because for them it´s not a problem.

So follows the indications that give you before to travel or then in Uk, it will be your problem almost alone. Though, yes, in a country where there is medical response for all.

    A greeting.

  4. We don't get malarial mosquitoes in the UK so why should they protect your kids? If it comes over then i guess they'll give us all Malorone tablets or something to take long term, or spend more money developing a vaccination.

  5. They are your kids, you protect them, why should the government be responsible for your children!

  6. malaria is not endemic in the UK, the only cases of Malaria in the UK are from people returning from malarial zones in the sub tropics, malaria is a vector borne disease (ie carried by mosquitos in this case) and the UK is too chilly for malaria to

    become an issue

you should be more worried about drug resistance by bacteria and viruses..

  7. What should the British Government do?via the taxpayer! Nothing!!The question should be!What is your own government doing?!That is the question!Africa is too ready to condemn British rule! But they are quick enough to hold out the begging bowl!!It is about time Britain started looking after it's own such as the pensioners and one parent families1

  8. if you check carefully, you'll find that they are taxing you quite a lot. That seems to be the answer to everything.

  9. The UK government are systematically reducing your standard of living so that you will not be able to afford to take your children away to a country that has a malaria problem!

How's that for a positive from a major negative?

  10. More to the point What are you doing to protect your children?

When you go to a mosquito/malaria area you can get your Dr to prescribe anti Malarial tablets. These are not available on the NHS.

  11. You have a responsibility to safeguard your and your family's health.

Malaria is no longer endemic in the UK.
