Malaysia’s left-handed elite player Wei Feng Chong found a perfect start on home soil as he defeated his lower ranked compatriot Man Hung Woon in Men’s Singles first round of Yonex Sunrise Malaysia Grand Prix Gold 2013 in Malaysia, on Tuesday, April 30.
The higher ranked Wei Feng, who is fourth seeded shuttler in Malaysia GP Gold, played with greater level of aggression and precision and easily sent his team-mate packing in a lopsided manner in just 21 minutes.
Wei Feng was in great form and he clearly proved that he belongs to the highest class of the game by playing flawless badminton. He easily outplayed his rival in straight sets with a staggering 21-11 and 21-6 score on the board.
On the other hand, the un-seeded Man Hung tried his best to play positive badminton but he was helpless against the impressive speed and powerful shots of his experienced compatriot. He bowed down in a one-sided manner without proving his presence strongly
felt.
