In the ongoing Asian Cricket Council Under-19 Elite Cup, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nepal-c2965 won their Group B match against Malaysia by seven wickets with 152 balls remaining at Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia Under-19s, who chose to bat in the 50 over match had a terrible start as they lost their first wicket with only six runs on the boar as their fans saw opener Vinay Singh perish after scoring only four runs. With seven runs on the board they lost
their second and third batsmen as AT http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ismail-c64603 and fell without making any contribution.
A run later, V Nadesh also followed the rest of the batsmen back to the dressing room as he lost his wicket to Karn with only a run to his name.
Skipper M Syahadat Ramli was disappointing as well as he was clean bowled by Karn on nil with only nine runs on the board. These were testing times for the batting side and they desperately needed someone in the middle to take charge and neutralise the bowlers.
With the top-order sitting back in the pavilion, lower-middle order batsmen Amiruddin Azahar and K Muthu tried to revive their team, however, they could lead their side to only 19 before the latter was trapped in front of stumps by Karki after scoring only
four runs.
Azahar was then joined by S Sathish as this pair steered their side towards 36 runs before fans witnessed the demise of Azahar, who walked off the field after getting stamped with only 15 runs under his belt.
Later, with D Mogan unbeaten on 22 and being the highest scorer from his side, Malaysia were bowled out for 69 runs.
From Nepal, A Karn was the best bowler with six wickets to his name as he wreaked havoc upon his opponents.
Chasing this meagre score, Nepal lost their first wicket with only 13 on the board, followed by the demise of their second wicket with 20 runs, and then their third wicket which fell when they were on 62. The side batting second reached the target in 24.4
overs.
