Malaysia v Nepal – Asian Cricket Council Trophy Elite 2012 (Semi final) – Match Recap
Nepal secured a place for themselves in the final of the ongoing Asian Cricket Council Trophy Elite 2012, after beating Malaysia by 21 runs in the semi-final of the tournament, played at the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Imtiaz-Sheikh-c64290 Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on October 10.
The match was initially delayed owing to fog, and when it kicked off, reduced to 45 overs per side. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Malaysia-c2949 won the toss and chose to field first, but despite the efforts of their bowlers, chief among them Nazril Rahman (9-2-37-4), Nepal managed to rack
up a decent total of 241.

for the third wicket.
Malaysia finally got a breakthrough in the 29th over, with Malla’s departure via run out by Anwar Rahman, and Khadka followed him back to the pavilion in the 33rd over, also dismissed by Anwar Rahman.
Pradeep Airee managed to contribute only 11 runs, but http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sharad-Vesawkar-c89750 (37) and Prithu Baskota (34) joined forces for a 46-run stand which got the team total up to 222 by the 43rd over. Baskota was dislodged by Faruq Hakimin, while Vesawkar was

Following their semi-final victory, Nepal will now be facing the UAE in the competition final, due to be played at Sharjah on October 12.
