Malaysia versus Liverpool – Preseason friendly: Second half review
Both the teams started the second half with a host of changed at the half time break. Liverpool brought on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Aquilani-c4313 and Ngog along with several other players on Kenny Dalglish’s orders. In the 50th minute, Aquilani
showcased his true class as Ngog was sent clean through on goal due to the exquisite nature of the Italian midfielder’s pass. However the French striker failed to produce a prolific finish as he dragged his shot wide of the mark as the score line remained
at 1-1.
In the 52nd minute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jonjo-Shelvey-c19081 won a free kick near the edge of the Malaysian penalty area for Liverpool. The Liverpool youngster stepped up to take the free kick but his eventual effort sailed wide of the Malaysian
goal despite his best efforts to curl the ball past the wall. In the 55th minute, Liverpool surged forward through Kelly whose cross from the by-line found Ngog in a lot of space in the Malaysian penalty area. However the Frenchman’s control was
quite lacklustre as the ball went out of play after hitting him on the shin.
In the 61st minute, Shaarani was replaced by Saad in the Malaysian line up whilst Rahim made way for Faruqi. In the 67th minute, Ngog netted Liverpool’s second goal of the match after a mix up in the Malaysian
defence. Insua’s cross from the left hand side sailed past the goalkeeper and his two central defenders who got in each other’s way. The cross found Ngog in space and this time the young striker made no mistake with his finish as the visitors took the lead
with the score line at 2-1.
Immediately after, straight from the kickoff http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 got their second goal as this time Ngog was played in by Aquilani. With the score line at 3-1, Liverpool pushed onwards to kill the game off with a late flurry of attacks.
In the 75th minute, the Merseyside Reds netted their fourth goal of the encounter as Insua’s cross found Maxi Rodriguez on the far post who slid in to tap the ball into the net.
Near the 80th minute mark, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Defence-c38904 to make it 4-3 in the 81st minute of the match.
However Liverpool responded with two late goals through Maxi Rodriguez and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dirk-Kuyt-c11348. Rodriguez was played in by Kuyt whereas for the second goal, Aquilani played in Kuyt as the match finally ended with the score line of 6-3 and an emphatic win for Liverpool
over the hosts on their own turf.
