you need to be registered at the malaysian consulate first to obtain consular services , i tried to open the embassy links, ?

none of them worked ?not sure why not?

as far as your parents? i do not know how to process in the search ? here is the gov. of Malaysia agencies at this page; perhaps one of theses agencies could respond to you ?

Ministry of Information  Angkasapuri, Bukit Putra, 50610 Kuala Lumpur  T : (+603)2282 5333

    F : (+603)2282 1255  www.kempen.gov.my

look at this page for all agencies, i did not find one for birth and adoption in Malaysia,

i also read, that there were no bureau of adoption in Malaysia?

coud that be true? not sure?

  2. it's no easy job to get ur replacement back without physically present in M'sia.

even for my case when i was trying to get a certified duplicate copy for "just in case", it requires me to get the endorsement from the state government, the court & a person with knighthood (or datuk as in M'sia) title or above to support that.

but i've briefly run through the government website & it states that you needa present some proper medical reports or ur mother admission evidence for maternity from the hospital/clinic where u were born, & ofc ur MyKad/IC, i'm not sure if you still can get the photocopy of the b/cert which will help the most in making the process faster. probably u may needa present urself in court to make a declaration. if u're from East M'sia, you may needa check additional criteria on the government website.

well, for babies born after 1992, they'll've the records on the government database, no hassle for that if one lost their b/cert.
