Selangor Pewter is renowned the world over.  Over on the East Coast in the vicinity of Kuala Trengganu, look for tembaga putih ("white brass") still made the traditional way and quite unique -- not found anywhere else.  Also batik fabrics, although they are rather expensive and not as nice as the traditional designs & patterns of Indonesian batik or ikat weaving.

Pewter is beautiful, Batik is nice, both are quite expensive. But if you are a tourist, it is worth it.
