Maldives v Oman – Asian Cricket Council Trophy Elite 2012 (Group A) – Match Update

Village today on October 9.
Oman won the toss and elected to bat first, and the efforts of Maldives skipper Moosa Kaleem (10-2-19-3) went in vain, as the team posted a sizeable final total of 225 by the end of 50 overs.

Oman then followed up their batting with a concentrated bowling attack, led by Khalid Rasheed (10-2-34-4), Zeeshan Siddiqui (2-0-12-3), and Aamir Kaleem (4-1-19-2), all of whom ensured that Maldives were restricted, all out, to 102, by the 26th
over of their innings, with only four batsmen managing double figures.
Openers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-c89347 and wicketkeeper batsman Shafraz Jaleel were both dismissed on duck, and while skipper Moosa Kaleem (34), coming in at number 3, top-scored for the side, Mohamed Rishwan (1) and Mohamed Azzam (5) were unable to contribute much.
