Male - Male Rabbit Pairs? And Some Other Questions...?

Can you pair 2 male rabbits? Because I've been reading a lot and apparently, its "IMPOSSIBLE?" Also, if I can, how should I make them like each other. I currently have a neutered male. I was thinking of adopting another bunny? Do you have to put them in different cages? :) HELP!

  1. It's not impossible, it's just a lot more difficult than a male/female pairing.  A spayed female would be a much easier introduction for you.  I do have a male/male pair, so it can be done.  They get on very well together and never fight.  You will need separate cages for a while until fully bonded, or you can keep one, maybe, in a bathroom or similar for a while if you don't want to invest in another cage.  Then, follow tips here in the socialization section: http://www.rabbit.org/behavior/index.htm...  I would expect it to take a month or two with a male/male pair, they rarely take to each other immediately.

  2. You can put two males together only if they are both fixed. If the male you have now is neutered than you can put a female with him or another neutered male but if the male is not fixed he will fight with any other rabbit and can possibely kill it.

  3. I used to have two bonded males until they started fighting be they where not neutered, but to get them bonded have the other rabbit neutered too. Then keep the new rabbit in a cage right next to the other rabbit. Get them used to each othe. Which will take about two days. Then one person hold one bunny and the other person hold the other. If they rase there head which looks like they want to snif each other they may want to bite. Then put them on the floor close to each other ( about a foot away ) But hold them if there is no agreshion then let them go. But if the fur starts flying seperate them. Some organizations try to bond the rabbits for you. Like the great lakes rabbit sanctury.

  4. i have 5 rabbits 2 male 3 fem. if i let the fems out  together they fight and rip fur, when i let the males out together the worst they do is try to hump each other, never seen them fight yet.but of course if you have them cooped up in one small cage , i guess they may fight
