  1. Males and females usually get along better than two females, yes. I would try to find a male kitten. And have him fixed later on also to avoid spraying.

  2. Queen Cats or Female Cats are usually best not in the house with another Queen they both want to be the boss of your house or apartment. Try the Male, she might want somebody to snuggle up with and if's he neuter that even better.

  3. I have a male and female cat and they love each other, they do fight sometimes but only playfuly. both are fixed.

  4. It could be the fact that it likes to have attention and that if you got another cat, it would get "jealous" if you cared for the other one just as much. It could also be that your cat isn't very social. If you really want to get another cat, bring your cat along and see how it reacts to different cats open for adoption, that may answer your question as well. Hope this helps!

  5. no matter what the first week is gonna be scary, your first kitty will hiss growl and hit, but she will get over it. i have brought 5 other cats in with my alpha female and she has adjusted within a week or so. Good Luck!

ps. by they way i have brought in both males and females, didn't make a difference. are you going to adopt from a cat shelter?
