Question:

Male bunny won't leave female alone

Our bunnies usually get along and we have to keep separating them because the male frequently wants action fromthe female who has increasingly gotten aggressive toward him when he approaches her.

We learned she may be pregnant...and do everything to keep them apart...he is crazy though and keeps climbing over his enclosure to get to her, we find hin on her cage, or all over the place. He has bent her bars on her cage trying to get to her, when he isn't "in heat" they cuddle and get along great...but it is getting exhausting trying to keep him safe and away from her.

Any ideas?

  1. Buy another crate and keep in in a  seperate part of the house away from her. Rabbits (males) are in heat 365 days in a year. They need to be separated and not just another crate. The odor of a female rabbit is enough to drive your poor male rabbit nuts. You may consider getting him de-sexed if you are not planning on mating them.

  2. put them in different rooms or get him fixed.

  3. put them in diffrent roomes. besides dont u want cute little bunnys
