Male friend making weird symbol with his hand...what is it?

It's one of my male co-workers but a friend as well...he takes his thumb and pointer finger and makes a circle (like an "o" in sign language). He only does it to me...and has been doing it for years. He will not tell me what it means...says its a secret and he just 'cant do it'.
