i have 2 percula clown fish paired up. it took a while for the female to accept the male, but i think they are getting along now. the male swims around the tank, while the female stays in the anemone. at night they both sleep in the anemone.

However i noticed what looks like the male's slime coat was damaged during the time the female was getting used to him and *love biting* him. i want to quarantine him and give him some stress coat, but i don't know how the female would take it? should i quarantine both of them and the anemone? i have a 5 gallon tank for a quarantine tank.

  1. Yes, you should definitely put them in a seperated tank and treat with medicine.

  2. yes

  3. if all you want to "treat" them with is stress coat.. add it directly to the tank

you may notice the nem getting a few jets of slime comming off him.. but it's not harmful

just let your skimmer work, or do a few big waterchanges
