Hi, I'm 13 and I'm going to grade 8. I realized that I have a man teacher as my grade 8 teacher and he's been my science teacher for the last two years.

Anyway, I have irregular periods and last year I had an accident (thank God I had a really nice woman teacher). I was wondering if I had another accident at school next year, what am I suppose to do? We have no nurses, and it will be awkward going to him and telling him I had a woman accident. Has there ever been a case where a girl in your class had her period and she had an accident? What did you do? Is there anything special you're suppose to do like keep a box of tampons or pads in your room? I'm really scared about this. If a girl in your class got her period, what do you think is the most decent way for her to ask you if she may go to washroom without her making a fool of herself by telling you it's an emergency. :S

  1. hmmmm well if i were you and that happened, i would ask to go to the bathroom and then use toilet paper instead of pads...

  2. I started carrying a purse with "supplies" at all times!  Do NOT expect your teacher to stock your supplies, woman or man!  Just tell him you need to "go" and "it's very personal".  Believe me, he's most likely clued in to "girlspeak" about those sorts of things, especially if you have "that look" on your face (the one that says "it's an emergency" without saying "it's an emergency" our loud).  And if he isn't clued, just go! It's easier to ask forgiveness than permission any day.
